Allen & Hanburys was acquired by Glaxo Laboratories Ltd, later GlaxoSmithKline, in 1958. ("Creating The GSK Of Today: 1950 – 1999 | GSK")

GSK used the Allen & Hanburys name for their special respiratory division until phased out in 2013 (Stothard and Rollinson).
