"Mr. Duncan had for years before he went to Edinburgh been in business at 75 High Street, Perth. His firm there was at first Duncan & Ogilvie; then it became Duncan, Hamilton & Dandie, and when Mr. James Hamilton went to Dundee the firm was changed to Duncan, Dandie & Newby; then Mr. Duncan went to Edinburgh, and Dandie, Newby & Dandie became the trade-name."
