This goniometer is held within a mock leather case. It was used to measure the range of motion of joints in the body, also known as goniometry.
The main body of the goniometer is semi-circular and has a scale from 0 to 180 degrees. It has a stationary arm that is placed against the inactive part of the joint and a moving arm that is aligned with the mobile part of the joint.
