We also hold deposited archive collections from some of the physicians and surgeons who have been associated with the College over hundreds of years. Connecting to our locality in the West of Scotland, we also hold many records relating to local medical societies and associations. The College moved into the oldest part of its current premises in 1862, and hired the architect John James Burnett (1857-1938) to make a series of additions and alterations to the building in 1892. This included the addition of the room now known as College Hall.
