We also hold deposited archive collections from some of the physicians and surgeons who have been associated with the College over hundreds of years. Connecting to our locality in the West of Scotland, we also hold many records relating to local medical societies and associations. Title A name given to the resource Photograph of John Glaister Description An account of the resource Black and white photograph of John Glasiter. Dr John Glaister graduated MBChB from the University of Glasgow in 1879 and immediately pursued a career in Forensic Medicine and Public Health. In 1881 he began working at the medical school of the Glasgow Royal Infirmary teaching Forensic Medicine. He then moved in 1888 to St Mungo's College where he became Professor of Forensic Medicine. He held this position until 1898, moving to the University of Glasgow to become the Chair of Forensic Medicine and Public Health.
