Title A name given to the resource Visualising Medical Heritage Description An account of the resource From 2017 to 2019, the heritage team undertook a visualisation project funded by Museums Galleries Scotland known as "Visualising Medical Heritage". Through this project we created a variety of different digital heritage products, including animations, 3D digital models, and VR games. Visualising medical heritage is something we continue to do today. These visualisation products tell the stories of groundbreaking work carried out by Fellows and Members throughout history, and how their work changed the practice of medicine and surgery for the better. Title A name given to the resource Lancet Case Scan Description An account of the resource This lancet case made of silver, and has the initials "JCH" inscribed on the front. Lancets are essentially very small scalpels used to take blood samples. Today they are disposable and used once per patient.
